Psalm 103 inspired this song, plain and simple. It contains three concepts for daily living: Bless God. Embrace true love. Forgive others. Within these three invitations, for me, are the whole of daily living. God liberates us with unconditional love. This is the message of this psalm and the song. It is beautifully used for a celebration of marriage, as well as a wedding anniversary. The theme of God’s goodness is so strong that the music is well placed in a reconciliation service as well as any celebration of gratitude to God.
